Transcending Fear and Anxiety

At the heart of Yoga lies our personal and collective journey to transcend fear and anxiety in order to steep more deeply in the present moment with an open heart. As we live in an age of increasing chaos and uncertainty that directly impacts our thoughts, emotions and actions, yogic wisdom and the practical teachings it offers are as important now as they’ve ever been. We invite you to join Dr. Nick Atlas for an afternoon devoted to self-care, deep relaxation and emotional release that can be practiced with little or no yogic experience. This workshop will feature gentle movement, breathwork, and an opportunity to receive the immensely restorative, guided relaxation of Yoga Nidra, as well as discussion on how Yoga works and relates to our waking and dream life, including healing insomnia, overcoming nightmares, dealing with chronic pain and alleviating stress. Feel free to bring questions and please eat lightly beforehand. This program is open to all levels and yoga instructors are eligible to receive 3 Yoga Alliance CE hours.

This course qualifies as part of our advanced 300-hr Yoga Psychology Teacher Training.
